Winesap M Byers 1988 Sdlg. D49-102 Violet Miracle x Hell's Fire
The anticipation of seeing this one bloom almost turned to anxiety as a cold front approached and the bud slowly opened. It's first year produced no bloom in the spring and the one bud that formed was frozen in the fall. It's second year, still no bloom in the spring, but it managed to open just ahead of our first freeze.
