In my quest for iris, I discovered a beautiful garden only a few miles from my home. Here are pictures from Clark Garden in Mineral Wells, Texas. I hope you enjoy.
The Channel Garden is only one of the many water features.
Wildlife enjoys the garden as much as the people. However, nothing is very wild.
Some of the many, well manicured flower beds.
Nice relaxing places for outdoor meetings and even a chapel for special occasions.
Beautiful roses!!!
And of course, the trains. The buildings are replicas of the Parker County courthouse and the old Baker Hotel which is now in ruins. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the historic houses.
My main interest at Clark Garden are the iris and daylilies. I've taken many pictures over the past years and would like to share them with you. Please keep in mind that lables in a public garden sometimes get mixed or that a cultivar can be mis-labled or (heaven forbid), the photographer can make a mistake. Since I published this website as an inforamtion source, I have tried to verify the information posted here. I have found many discrepancies in the photos but I would like to leave the registration information for those who are seeking only that. I have made a note on the ones that I am certain are mis-labled. If you find mistakes please help me by sending me a note.
